UNREAL RUPAUL

"The truth is, we are all illusionists and that's why we are attracted to it. This whole world is an illusion. It's not real. The truth of who we are has nothing to do with religion or the type of car that we drive or the color of our skin. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. And the human experience part is very temporary. So, things like the bar, love, magic, dancing, and colors are there to remind us to not take all of this stuff so seriously. Drag is like breaking the fourth wall in theater where we're letting you know straight up that this is an illusion. People are attracted to that because they know it's the truth of who they are also. No one is who they think they are. That's why people are attracted to drag." —RuPaul

RUPAUL ROX
Extravagaaaaaaaaaaaaanza!!

"I don't. I cannot stand the people. I think the fashion people are so nasty and so pretentious. One thing that I am not is pretentious and I cannot stand pretentious people. I love fashion, love color, love texture, love all of that. But all of the people who surround that are rot-ten," Rupaul quips about being asked on attending New York's Fashion Week.
Leave it to a gay man to pull together an outfit and look better than any tired cunt can or does!!

CAN I GET AN 'AMEN' UP N HERE

Extra-va-gaaaaaaaaaaaaaanza
Ravishing RuPaul has a renewed series.
The Logo Network, a channel under the MTV shingle, carries RuPaul's Drag Race which has been picked up for a second season. The show is a drag queen competition series.
If you do not watch Logo or do not have the station, we suggest you start watching the channel or pester your local cable company to carry the LBGT programmer.
Logo has wonderful series like, RuPaul's Drag Race, The Big Gay Sketch Show and Rick and Steve.

SEVERE UP N HERE

We actually took some time this weekend to watch all the episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race on LOGO.
We know it isn't high brow TV but we can't be fascist fags 24/7 and constantly scan the gay sites for news or have Rachel Maddow on all night--we're tired...we need a break sometimes.
The show was cute and pure fluff. And the production value: cheap. The show looks as if it is filmed in some garage and that tacky silver sequined curtain and judge's booth looks like something we could have crafted in 10 minutes.
Despite all that, we think RuPaul has a hit. The female impersonators tried to shed the light to middle America that they do NOT want to be women. Female impersonation is an act and an art form. All the CUNTestants are happy with the schwing in between their legs....ohhh-kay.
The celebrity judges were fun like Santino from Project Runway. Jenny Shimizu was a guest judge. We absolutely love Jenny -- we fell hard for Jenny when we first saw her in that black and white cK ad in the nineties. So it was fun to listen to her comments. Bob Mackie made a guest judge apperance. And RuPaul gave us plenty of snarky comments to keep us rolling in laughter.
Out rapper Cazwell was a guest. We found him very engaging and TOTALLY hot!!
We ABSOLUTELY love RuPaul. He spouted out his RuPaulisms like an overactive verbal fountain: "if you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love someone else? can I get an 'amen' up in here...," "severe up n here," "lypsynch for yo life...," "extra-va-gaaaaaaaanzaaaa"
And we loved all his gowns and faboosh wigs...just servin all kind of everything on a silver platter to us.
We loved his comments that would pop out of his head while the drag contestant worked the runway or shot a screen test for a MAC commercial. All his Mommy Dearest quotes and references that he molded and made original to fit the moment.
We were rooting for Nina Flowers but Bebe Zahara Benet was just as fierce. We won't give away any spoilers here.
We CANNOT wait for next season. And if you can, try to watch the entire season with the link we provided.
It was just solid camp television that we needed for a couple of hours to empty our heads of all the Hollywood and political shiz were always reportin .... Can we get an "amen" up n here?
