This was Vacation before Vacation.

Huh?

Yeah-- Kathy Valentine's band, The Textones wrote Vacation first with different lyrics in the 70's.

Kathy gave the song to her group The Go-Go's for their second album in 1982, with a change in lyrics and sound.

The Textones-- Vacation
