SAY WHAT?

"There was this time when we were still living in our studio, and some big important magazine was coming to see the collection for the first time. We were such messes back then and hadn’t realized the clocks had changed an hour back. It was early morning and we were doing the final lint-rolling still in our pajamas (read: underwear!) thinking we were totally on time, when the elevator door opened and the editor-in-chief of the magazine walked in. There we were, lint-rolling half-naked. We were mortified."

SUNDANCE DANCES FOR PROENZA SCHOULER

You readers already know that we are  fans of Proenza Schouler and the hot men behind the line.

So we were delighted to learn that the Sundance Channel has a series The Day Before documenting various designers 24 hours before their fashion shows.

Last night was a screening for Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for their label Proenza Schouler.

The men are weathering the recession and business is up compared to last year for these two.

To make use of an old  70's phrase:  "Hang in there, Baby."

NY'S FASHION NIGHT OUT: SEPT. 10TH

Proenza Schouler-- the hot design duo:  Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez

Alex Wang

Vera Wang

All the above persons gave reasons to come out and shop and who knows you may run in to one of them.

The guys at Proenza Schouler will be out and  about to advise on expenditures from their line-- we would even take that opportunity to ask one of them out on a date!
