Oh shit, how am I going to explain this.....
David Beckham, while on loan to AC Milan, broke his Achilles' tendon.
He reached down to his left heel and made a motion to the AC Milan bench that indicated he knew it was broken.
Now he will not be able to work for his main employer LA Galaxy. It's speculated that he could be out for five to six months.
LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena seemed upbeat and positive about the news-- he didn't seem to blame BECKS since he WAS on loan to another team:
Galaxy coach Bruce Arena said it was too early to tell exactly how long Beckham will be out. He didn’t want to discuss the impact the injury would have on Los Angeles’ season. He wouldn’t blame the injury on the loan.
“Players get hurt whether they’re on loan or not,” he said. “Injuries are unfortunately part of the game.”
No one seems to be too upset about all this--if we were the owner of the Galaxy, we would be PISSED to no end!!
We kinda of feel if a player is off for the season from his main employer, it's best to recover and get ready for the next season. Not "loan" yourself out for a paycheck and risk an injury. But what do we know!!
That's like Tony Romo playing polo for an Argentina team, falling off the horse, injuring his back and not being able to make the next season of the Cowboys. Stupid. A player's health and obligation is to the team that is his bread and butter. Not some extracurricular paycheck!!
