On the heel of the news that President Obama has issued a new directive to the Department of Health and Human Services, Andy Cooper's 360 discusses the decision on his talker:
The new directive requires hospitals to give visitation rights to partners of gays and lesbians AND allowing the patients to designate their significant others as medical decision guardians.
Andy's guest: Janice Langbehn, who was blocked from seeing her partner at a Florida hospital. Her partner died and Langbehn wasn't with her during the last moments-- just shitty of that hospital. Even President Obama took time out of his day to call her AND apologize for the major fuck-up! Just AWESOME on his part!!
