New York City's youth LGBT shelters not only have vandals to worry about but budget cuts.
There are "hundreds" of gay youth that are homeless because of sexual orientation and gender identity. They have no where to go except these shelters for protection.
The city is slashing funds. Which means even more young LGBTers that are cast out of their homes will really have no where to go except the streets to survive.
Yesterday demonstration in Union Square was reaction to the vandal attack at the shelter in Queens. But let's hope it was a rally call against the government as well.
