THE CAMELOT ERA:
Images by Patrick McMullan
The two seem a perfect match: Mad Men and Brooks Brothers.
The Madison Avenue local held a fete for its Mad Men-label suit.
Vignettes were created throughout the store with mint-green typewriters and models swigging gin out of tumblers looking bespoke and dashing in a 1960-inspired crisp suit.
Mad Men's costume designer Janie Bryant observing how Brooks Brothers took the Sterling Cooper set and ran with it.
Others on hand to lend to the surrealism of being in the Sterling Cooper interiors: Bryan Batt, Rich Sommer, Vincent Kartheiser and Michael Gladis.
Customers were able to purchase the Mad Men-label suit right on the spot. The suit is a two-button jacket with an attenuated cut-- the style looks straight off the back of President Kennedy circa 1960.
