We have been obsessed with finding out who the lad was in Tennessee William's play One Arm ad, above right, in The New York Times.
We saw this ad about a month and a half ago.
Our gaydar went off and has not stopped ringing, a piercing 10-alarm sound alert in our head. And as usual, we are 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% accurate.
So imagine, when our gaydar goes off on a daily basis in Hollywood when we run into and are conversing with ___ insert name of any alleged gay actors here_________________ and he is lying talking to us about his beard or sham relationship/marriage............
The actor is Claybourne Elder and he is an OUT gay actor.
He plays Ollie in the Off-Broadway play. A well-muscled Navy Boxer.
AfterElton conducts a Q&A with the lad:
AE: Speaking of being gay, what’s it been like to be an out actor?
CE: It’s a hard thing starting out. I’m an actor who happens to be out. I’ve never had agents or management tell me not to be, but I’d rather who I am to be about my work.
