DYK?: DID YOU KNOW

John F. Kennedy's signature in a letter to South Carolina Sen. Olin Johnston on Aug. 20, 1963. A genuine Kennedy signature is worth $2,500, even if the letter says simply "happy birthday."

You may have been wondering lately what a signature is worth if it's a president.

John F. Kennedy has the highest worth in a signature... it usually receives $2500 for a genuine inscription --- even for a simple "happy birthday."

Ronald Reagan's starts at $750.

Twenty years ago, one couldn't give away a Harry Truman signature but that all changed when author David McCullough penned that complimentary tome of the late Commander-In-Chief.  Now a Truman signature can fetch hundreds.

And, President Obama has an average value of $500 and an Obama-signed baseball commanded more than $1500--these were post inaugural inks.
