The Obama administration requested to buy four passenger jets at a price of $220 million dollars, to replace older planes in its fleet. Before leaving Washington DC for the August break, House lawmakers doubled an aircraft order to eight at a sum of $550 million dollars.
These are eight Gulfstream and Boeing planes being ordered.
Senior government officials are whining they need the planes for the upcoming months of overseas travel.
The upgrade is included in a broader defense-funding bill. So these scum government peeps are cloaking this order under defense monies!!
Fox news reports that two, JUST FUCKING TWO, senators oppose THIS!!
Two Missouri senators, Democrat Claire McCaskill and Republican Christopher Bond, said they would oppose funding for the jets when the legislation is taken up by the Senate in September.
"The whole thing kind of makes me sick to my stomach," said Mrs. McCaskill in an interview Sunday. "It is evidence that some of the cynicism about Washington is well placed -- that people get out of touch and they spend money likes it's Monopoly money."
Our stomachs have just turned sour!!!
