This blog posted yesterday that New York magazine tracked Ryan McGinley down in New York City from location.
Location for Ry-Ry has been in caves.
The much buzzed about lenser has literally been in caves shooting his subjects.
A new showing in London will display his works.
The Alison Jacques Gallery is curating a show from September 10th to October 8th.
Ry-Ry is known for nude imagery and this will be no different. His subjects will be in the buff in caves.
The gallery's press release explains:
“Over the last year, McGinley and his crew explored huge caves underground, venturing into unknown territory, seeking out spectacular natural spaces, some previously undocumented. The title of the show “Moonmilk” alludes to the crystalline deposits found on the walls of many caves; it was once believed that this substance was formed by light from celestial bodies passing through rock into darkened worlds below.”
McGinley has clicked for accounts like Marc Jacobs, Wrangler, and Levi's.
