An advertisement for a memorial service in Salt Lake City to honor gay Mormons who have committed suicide was rejected by a newspaper owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, The Deseret News.
The group, The Foundation of Reconciliation, was trying to place the ad. The group works to foster understanding between the LGBT community and the Mormon church.
This paper also refused to run an announcement for a gay couple that married in San Francisco in August.
