HOSTILE:
300+ people protested the American Historical Association's decision to hold an annual meeting at San Diego's Manchester Grand Hyatt. Instead of paying a stiff cancellation fee and finding another place for the summit, after promising not to hold the conference at that Hyatt, AHA continued with their meeting there.
We noted before, that Doug Manchester, who owns that H8-yatt, gave $125,000 to support California's Proposition 8, a bill to forfeit same-sex marriage in California.
This hotel spot has been grounds for protest before.
