You may remember, Jason Akermanis wrote that little newspaper essay back in May 2010 stating-- in his opinion-- that gay athletes should stay in the closet.
Well, the Western Bulldogs, who Akermanis played for, terminated his employment last Wednesday.
He was given the option to step down. When he refused, the team fired him.
