FOX will pick up the series for two more years.  We can look forward to 22 eps each season.  After these next two years,  The Simpson catalogue will have a total of 493 eps.

That will make The Simpsons run two seasons longer than the western series that was at home on CBS.

What's the series trailing The Simpsons?

Law and Order, with 19 seasons so far.
