For all U youngins OUT there that think they know everything BUT DON'T. A quick history lesson.
Invasion of the Pines started on July 4, 1976. Terri Warren, a drag queen, was denied service at a Fire Island Pines eatery. Welp, it didn't take long for the gays to hear about this. Men were slapping on wigs and quickly teetering in high heels and smearing lipstick over beards to rush over via boat to plan an invasion.
Since then, it is a yearly "tradition."
