SAVAGE GIVES PROPS

Our favorite sexy scribe Dan Savage gives props to President Obama for making an anti-bullying video for his It Gets Better project.

While on the hard copy book tour of It Gets Better, Savage states this on The Gayle King Show:


“I’m old enough to remember when Ronald Reagan was president and the AIDS virus was decimating the gay community....He didn’t say the word AIDS until 1987, ’til tens of thousands of gay men had died. He never addressed it, wouldn’t talk about it.

“For the President of the United States now to jump in, in just a couple of weeks, to participate in a project to save the lives of LGBT youth… in my experience, that is so remarkable. That itself is a sign of how it’s gotten better.”
