GAY INC. STILL CAN'T GET IT RIGHT

At this dinner this past weekend, the Human Rights Campaign used the opportunity to announce its new bed partner spokesperson... drumroll....none other than..... Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein to support their "Americans for Equality" campaign. HRC honored Goldman Sachs with the 2011 Workplace Equality Innovation Award.

The New York Times did a whole write-up this morning on Blankfein being a new mouthpiece for the HRC.

HRC is using Blankfein because he is "an unexpected messenger."

Outside of the Waldorf-Astoria where the HRC event was taking place, protesters from Queer Occupy Wall Street voiced their concerns.

NYPD did surface to monitor the 80+ group.

QOWS voiced three concerns:

1. Condemns the HRC for honoring Goldman Sachs

2. Wants the HRC to implement a strategy of Full Equality by 2014

3. Demands HRC utilize a transparent process that includes the grassroots.

Many gays have told us how could the HRC saddle-up and honor such a predatory company like Goldman Sachs.

Our two cents: after what that gross asswipe Goldman Sachs did to the country NOW you have the scum that is the HRC ponying right up to them. This makes our blood boil.
