Houston's rep confirms to CNN that the singer has passed away.

The cable network reports that at 3:55 p.m. Pacific Time at the Beverly Hilton, BHPD officials pronounced Houston dead.

Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mark Rosen said there were "no obvious signs of criminal intent."
