A new book is out about JFK and his very dear friend, Lem Billings, who was gay.
The book, Jack and Lem, by David Pitts, details the lifelong friendship that started when the two met at Choate.
The close relationship continued even at the White House during the Kennedy presidency, where Lem had his own private room.
Jackie Kennedy was even quoted as saying: "Lem Bings was the guest of the house every weekend of my marriage ".
Even after the assassination of Kennedy, Jackie does not break the bond with Lem, who remained close with the widow and the kids.
