Everyone can't wait to FUCK with the land that is around the HOLLYWOOD sign or the sign itself.

All kinds of groups want to cover it up for a day to promote this and that; vandals are always trying to deface it at night.

Not to mention the developers that always want to build practically atop the sign with bric-a-brac abodes.

BUT THANKFULLY!!!

A nature conservation group has reached a late hour deal to protect a vast amount of acreage above the sign from being turned into luxury homes.  Excellent!!!!

However-- they are covering the Hollywood letters for a couple of days (until Monday) with signage:  Save the Peak.  NOT EXCELLENT!!!!  Never fuck with the sign **say it in a gravely, slow voice**

Trust For Public Lands has secured the option to buy the rugged 138-acre parcel for $12 million from Fox River Financial Resources, a Chicago-based entity.

Trust for Public Lands has attained $6 million of the $12M; the group has to mid April to raise the rest.
