These two editors should know. Peter Ian Cummings and Savas Abadsidis are teaming up to bring two new magazines to bookshelves next month.
These two were former editors and were responsible for all that black and white, homoerotic, nubile, pubescent imagery in XY, that gay teen magazine, and the Abercrombie & Fitch Quarterly.
Maybe not to some, BUT TO US: Thumbing through an XY periodical always felt creepy and pervish-- all those teens shirtless and in black and white. Uhh, NO THANKS!!!
The new magazines are titled B Magazine and All American Guys ( an all photo mag in collaboration with allamericanguys modeling agency).
These editors promise sexy photos, natch, engaging articles and a futuristic design.
"XY and the A&F Quarterly were known for their inspiring and daring photography, and Cummings and Abadsidis said they will continue that trend by photographing people across the country, especially in mid-America, as they both did before; and interviewing numerous celebrities — as well as photographing 'inspiring and cool gay people across America.'" reads their presser.
SOME SAY: "inspiring and daring photography;" WE SAY: borderline something-PHILIAish...
