ABC News and The Chicago Tribune have reported that Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson's mother, "in her 50's" was shot in the head and a man, 29, was shot in the chest.
The wounds look to be defensive on one victim, according to the police.
Jennifer Hudson is NOT HURT; she was in route to Chicago after the news of this.
