Project Runway 6 has already started production in Los Angeles with new producers Bunim/Murray (MTV Real World fame) at the helm.
The series could not air until next summer because of the judge's recent decision to block Lifetime from airing it.
IT COULD EVEN MOVE TO NBC!!
The Los Angeles Times reveals that “barring a settlement agreement, it appears highly unlikely that ‘Runway’ will be back on the air in January in time for a finale at New York Fashion Week in February, as Lifetime had hoped. That means it would be delayed until at least late summer so the finalists could show their collections at fashion week in September.”
The paper goes on to say that even if NBC Universal does win the lawsuit PR would not go back to Bravo. Before negotiations ended NBC Universal and Harvey Weinstein were in talks to air PR on a different network, "perhaps even as part of NBC's prime-time schedule."
Those are the audience numbers a free network would love to see on any week night!! That certainly would be "must see TV!" (cue in NBC chime)
