Yes THAT Schock as in Gina Schock the world's greatest drummer--along with Travis Barker--of the Go-Go's.
We ABSOLUTELY love House of Schock.
LOVE IN RETURN is one of our ultimate all time favorite songs. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! the piano in LIR. Gina recorded one of the most passionate and well written songs of the decade!! Besides Perfect View that Charlotte Caffey did for The Graces.
It was rumored that if the Go-Go's did a fourth album after Talk Show, Belinda would have recorded LIR and with her Stevie Nicks warble --- ahem....... do I need to elaborate. Babe's voice is distinctive and that is not always a good thing. She does do a lot of songs justice--just look at APOLOGY.
Every song off of House of Schock is GREAT--the drums and the guitars and Gina's voice--very distinctive.
When they were putting that album together, they did one show before Capital signed them to do that album--can you believe she didn't have a record deal after three major album successes with The Go-Go's. WTF? was that about!!! How I would have loved to have gone to that one show.
I blame Capital for doing nothing to promote that album!!
