We have two major Prides to celebrate this weekend, NYC and Los Angeles.
This is marking the 40th Anniversary of Stonewall, where the drag queens got sick of the police raids and fought back in NYC, igniting the gay rights movement!!
ALLTOGETHERQUEER is celebrating with an exhibit that fills the eyes with a visual feast and multi-sensory exhibit of art.
One can attend the exhibit at The Garage @ 548West 28th Street (between 10th and 11th).
Laughlin Artz is curating the event; he is an artist and activist. We're all hoping the art inspires to move the gay rights movement forward and yet give remembrance from where we came 40 years ago.
Over the past 40 years, many LGBT events are celebrated and interpreted by today's compelling gay artist. Some events immortalized : a poem about Judy Garland's death to a mural protesting that CA. CA. California pageant CUNT who waged such a verbal vitriol against gays getting married making that one of the defining single gay experiences of 2009.
