MUST SEE TV

Set your calendars for December 6th at 10 am West Coast time.

C-SPAN will televise the oral arguments in the Proposition 8 federal appeals.

The Advocate reports:

The American Foundation for Equal Rights reports that C-SPAN's request to televise the arguments was granted by the court; the proceedings will be broadcast live. Two video cameras will be permitted in the courtroom, and the arguments begin at 10 a.m. Pacific time.

"For too long the truth about marriage equality has been obscured by misleading political rhetoric," Chad Griffin, board president of AFER, said in a press release. "Our case is rooted in the principles of equality upon which our nation was founded and the Constitution's guarantee of equal protection under the law for every American, without exception. That case has already been proven conclusively in federal court, and now millions of Americans will be able to hear the truth about this issue first-hand."
