WHO TO BELIEVE IN WASHINGTON ON DADT

There are two different stories circling Washington.

One is The White House is saying they are working to repeal 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell:'  On the heels of dismissing another Colonel from the Air Force,  White House spokesman Robert Gibbs was asked by Air America's Ana Marie Cox inquired about the policy again from him.

Cox queried:  "Is their dismissal a part of his national security strategy, or is their dismissal itself a threat to national security?"

Gibbs responded that President Obama is jointly working woth the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff to make the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell " come to fruition.

The other story circling is that the White House is lying that the President is doing nothing:  A Pentagon spokesperson stated that there was nothing in the present or future repealing the DADT policy.

Geoff Morrell, a Pentagon spokesperson stated to CBS News:
"The secretary has not asked his service chiefs, his service secretaries, his combatant commanders, anything of that sort to, sort of, start to -- to do, you know, polling on that matter."

Our favorite talker Rachel Maddow continues to dig deeper and try to find a finite answer to all this confusion:
