In the UK, a research project has recommended that schoolkids should be taught about gays, tolerance and same-sex relationships in primary sex. I knew I was different in first grade!!
The British project No Outsiders, funded by public monies and conducted by university researchers, has set the task of devising ways to stop bullying and prejudice aimed at gays in primary-aged school children.
As expected, furious reactions have surfaced from some groups.
A British law banning the "promotion" of homosexuality at schools was repealed five years ago, allowing the discussion of gays to legitimately enter into the sex education curriculum.
