NOLE CAKES WINS ROME OPENER

The Sexy Serb, below

Our hot little tennis  Serbian Cake, Novak Djokovic has advanced to the third round of the "International BNL d'Italia" tournament in Rome.  He won against Albert Montanes (#33) in straight sets.  7-6(5), 6-0.

Nole found his rhythm once he was broken in the third game:

"[Nole] broke his opponent’s service twice and held for 5-2 lead. Montanes raised the level of his game, and Nole made several unforced errors. He made his fourth double fault to give Montanes chance to come back into the set. The Spaniard equalised to 5-5 and even had a break point in the eleventh game, but Novak held, and the set went to a tie-breaker. Djokovic won it 7-5 after 1 hour and 12 minutes.

That tiebreak was crucial for the outcome of the match. Nole made three breaks in the second set to take it 6-0.

Djokovic’s third round rival will be Spaniard Tommy Robredo (13) who defeated German Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets.

From his website:  NOLE has even hired a new fitness coach:

Our Nole Cakes, below

Starting from the tournament in Rome, Novak’s team will have a new member - Gebhardt, who was coach of Thomas Muster, former world no.1, and holder of 44 ATP titles.

Novak hired Gebhardt as his fitness coach. They started working together after Nole lost to Nadal in Monte Carlo Masters finals last week.

"Fitness is what I need in the following period. I will play three tournaments in a row before Roland Garros, and we all know that transition from clay to grass is very short" - said Novak.

The best Serbian tennis player is the defending champion in Rome. The tournament starts tomorrow. Then he plays in Belgrade, Madrid and Paris at Roland Garros which starts on May, 25.

"I’m always trying to improve myself in every aspect, to become a better player. I felt that I can’t improve anymore with members of my team, and decided to change something" - added world no.3.

Novak said that the new coach had brought new programme, new system and many innovations.

"Of course, we haven’t changed everything, that would be risky" - concluded Nole.
