The NBC suits have inked Southland for a second season with an order of 13 eps.
We are SO in LOVE with Tom Everett Scott (in anything) !!! We loved him on Philly with Kim Delaney!
Both industry papers The Hollywood Reporter and Variety gave news to this story. THR reported: [Southland] got off to a very strong start in ER's Thursday 10 p.m. slot. The ratings have since slipped, but the network brass has been high on Southland's broad appeal, creative potential and Wells’ solid track record as a showrunner.
Variety adds that the "hard-boiled cop drama will presumably slide to a 9 p.m. berth in the fall, as NBC plans to strip The Jay Leno Show Monday-Friday at 10 p.m. hour." 13 episodes have been ordered to start with.
In the fall, we are definitely making this on our list of must see TV!!!
