Gay Marriages!!!! We are still second class citizens in their eyes!!!!
But they don't mind using us to help their tourism.
For the state that can't give us same-sex marriage, they don't mind using our cache for an ad campaign to attract other gays to come visit say Christopher Street or Broadway.
It will be a year long initiative to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Stonewall uprising.
The tag line is "Join the rainbow pilgrimage" and NYC is spending $1.9 million for this marketing effort.
The city is trying to fill a $4 billion budget deficit by using us gays from other parts of the country to come visit the Big Apple as a "rite of passage."
