A NEW L-WORD CRIME DRAMA: THE SEER

On US television soil, gays were catapulted front and center with the arrival of Showtime's Queer as Folk.  Then, Showtime wanted something for the female homo audience, adding the L- Word series debuting in 2004.

With the L- Word entering its final season, the networks still want some of that woman-on-woman storyline and drama.

The Seer may come to the rescue.

This series is billed as Cagney and Lacy, meets Medium, meets the L Word.  The Seer will capture both mainstream and gay audiences with its powerful crime solving story line mixed with a seasoning of lesbian undertones.

Linda Anderson is creator/writer of The Seer, its her brainchild.  The series will focus on Lesbian Private Detective Guin Marcus who struggles professionally and personally with her powers as The Deer, a visionary who is frequently hired by the LAPD to help solve crimes (  sounds a bit like Psych, too) to help solve crimes.  Her love life promises to satiate the audience too.

The Pilot for The Seer (www.watchtheseer.com) has been reviewed by Hollywood insiders and the buzz of the "to be" drama has already leaked to Lesbian web sites like AfterEllen.com "With no new news on Elizabeth Keener's proposed lesbian crime show for here! Network, maybe The Seer will hit the air first. And we'll get to enjoy a lot more of Michelle, Deborah and clairvoyant lesbians with guns."
