In the nineties, a small time magazine profiled Candace Bushnell with a set of questions which she answers. Kind of along the lines of what Vanity Fair's last page questionnaire resembles.
The reason I am being so vague in the upcoming lines because I don't recall the mag's name and I can't source it. But I recall the last question from the interview because Bushnell was so catty and SATC took off like a rocket, this was the time Bushnell was HOT and no one could touch her!!!
The last question read something like who do you think is in a desperate need of makeover?
Bushnell answers back(paraphrasing)Anna Wintour--she's had the same haircut......
For those of you who are out of the loop: Bushnell used to work at Vogue as one of its editors at the same time moonlighting and penning her weekly column for a New York paper thus the collected essays turned into the book, Sex and The City.
I'm not going to mention her new book because I am not getting paid to promote this fishtank--that being said----
NOW...In the new September Vogue---Anna gave Bushnell some major magazine real estate space to tubthump her new book via excerpts.
I wonder if Ms. Wintour even knows about that interview that Bushnell did???
If she doesn't, NOW.... would she even give Bushnell the time of day???
