WILL THE FARMERS' ALMANAC BE RIGHT FOR THIS WINTER

Will it be cold enough to justify the
purchase of this total look from
John Galliano Fall 2008?

Or cold enough to justify
this coat's purchase at Gucci?

That 192 year-old periodical, the Farmers' Almanac predicts that winter temperatures will be below-average for most of the US.

The FA claims to have an accuracy rate of 80 to 85 percent ( their forecast is done 2 years in advance).

The informational book says at least 2/3 of the country can expect colder-than average temps, only the Far West and the Southeast will have normal readings.

January/February will see above-normal snowfall for the Great Lakes and Midwest.

The Southwest in December will see above-normal precipitation and the same in January/February for the Southeast.  The northeast and mid-Atlantic reions will experience a wet or snowy February.  The Pacific Northwest could be drier in February.

The FA continues to predict that the Southwest will experience unusually hot weather in June and July.  Oppressive heat and humidity will be in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

What do you think??

Will global warming cause a "hotter" winter in the Gulf of Mexico states???
