It seems the Associated Press did a little rolling up the sleeves and some good dirt digging fact checking and FOUND:  some media reports that show one of the girls who helped the Chinese women's gymnastic team capture gold on Tuesday night HAS NOT/DOES NOT meet minimum age regulations for such competitions.

Before the Beijing Olympics, nine months, the Chinese government's news agency, Xinhua ( no not Xenu--LOL) documented that little gymnast He Kexin was 13.

In the Olympics, a member has to be or turning 16 years old during the Olympic year to be eligible to partake in the games.  You can figure out that this does not make her eligible to be on a team that won gold.

November 3rd,  Xinhua noted He as one of the "10 big new stars" who made a splash at China's Cities Games.

AP found the Xinhua report and made a copy of the page on Thursday of that morning.....

Later that afternoon, the website was working BUT THAT page was no longer accessible.  The government news agency's sports editors had no comment for publication.

The differing ages- which have been published in Chinese media reports- had not been checked in advance with the gymnastics federation, said Zhang Hongliang, an official with China's gymnastics delegation, on Thursday:

"It's definitely a mistake. Never has any media outlet called me to check the athletes' ages."

Passports are used as the documentation for accepted proof of a gymnast's eligibility according to the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).  China's other gymnast and He presented passports that showed they met the age requirement.  The IOC checked and verified the passports too and deemed them valid.

Sounds all kind of wrong to us---

If you can go to MacArthur Park and get "micas, micas"  fake ID's....no telling what the Chinese government does.  This is the same controlling unit that block certain internet web access to their citizens.  Every site is CAREFULLY AND SELECTIVELY  filtered in!!!!!
